Our Belief & mission

RGW Institute was born from a vision shared by co-founders and Licensed Professional Counselors, Ya’Ron and Stacee Brown—a husband-and-wife team with a deep commitment to healing work that doesn’t just treat symptoms, but transforms lives.

After years of working in traditional therapy settings, Stacee and Ya’Ron noticed a gap in care: too many clients—especially those from marginalized communities—were falling through the cracks. They needed more than just a weekly session. They needed providers who got it. Providers who looked like them, understood their context, and could walk alongside them with both clinical skill and cultural insight.

In response, the Browns founded RGW Institute to serve as a sanctuary for healing and a launchpad for growth. What started as a small private practice has now expanded into a multi-service mental wellness organization offering:

• Individual, couples, and family therapy
• Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for substance use & trauma
• Group therapy and weekend intensives
• Supervision and training for emerging clinicians
• Court-approved assessments and DHS-contracted services
• Community partnerships, nonprofit outreach, and legacy-building initiatives
